¡¡Yangtze river cruises tour
The 3rd longest river in the world at 6300 km, the Yangtze River originates in
Southwestern Qinghai, winding its way through Tibet, before cutting its way through China
and flowing into the East China Sea north of Shanghai.

scenery of the Three Gorges such as the limestone rock formations, magnificent cliffs,

largest and most expensive projects in the history of China. When completed the dam wall
will be 185meters high, and 2km wide, and will generate more than 10% of China's
electricity. In 2003 the height of the Yangtze River was filled to a depth of 127 meters,
and by 2009 the depth will become 175 meters. By the time the dam is completed, around 1.5
million people will be relocated and thousands of archaeological and historical sites will
The Yangtze River/Three Gorges can be visited all year
around. High season on the river is around spring and autumn - April/June, and
September/October. July and August are still a good time to visit, although the weather
can be a little hot. During winter there are less boats on the river, and the price will
be cheaper, but it can be very cold. Please be sure to take warm clothes with you.
Three Gorges Cruise from Chongqing to Yichang takes
2 or 3 days via famous attractions such as Fengdu Ghost Town, Shibao Village, Zhangfei
Temple, Qutangxia Gorge, Wuxia Gorge, Xiningxia Gorge and Junior Three Gorges.
