Chengdu--Tibet, Shigatse and Mt. Everest 8-Days Tour Day 1: Chengdu - Lhasa by flight Departing from Chengdu to lhasa in the morning,arriveing at Lhasa Gonggar airport which at a elevation of 3000 meters, guide will meet you at the airport,drive to Lhasa urban, en route visit Brahmaputra valley, Buddha Sculpture made 11th century and Tibetan village etc. on the drive to Lhasa and check in the Hotel , Free and Have a good rest in the Lhasa city todya ,avoid being extreme physical activity and sickness of high high altitude.Dinner and supper by your self, overnight in lhasa. 
Day 2 :Lhasa Full Day Self Tour (Overnight in Lhasa) We suggest you have a selftour today in lhasa city if you don't have a serious high altitude sickness,the main attractions in Lhasa: Potala Palace (RMB100), Norbulingka - the Summer Palace (RMB60), Jokhang Temple (RMB70) and Barkhor Street, Ramoche temple (RMB25), Drepung Monastery (RMB55) and Sera Monastery (RMB55) Tips: If you are not interested in the Tibetan temple, one temple can make you an overall impression, and taking photography only outside of the others is a good solution. However, the Barkhor Street is worth visiting, it is the Tibetan market, the vendors sell Tibetan handcraft, souvenir and daily commodities for local people. (Meal and transportation excluded, we charge RMB400 extra if you prefer to follow a tour group with Chineses-speaking tour guide to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street,400RMB including entrance tickets,Lunch and supper,bus,tour guide) Day 3: Lhasa - Yangpachen -Namtso lake In the morning, drive to Yangpachen - the hot spring, see the Northern Tibet Grassland, and the Yangpachen geothermal power plant, and then to Namtso lake,one of the three holy lakes in Tibet,then back to Lhasa,overnight in Lhasa. (Visiting Namtso is available only in Summer and autumn) Day 4: Lhasa--Shigatse Drive to Shigatse, en route visit Yamdrok Lake, Korala Glaciers, Transfer to Shigatse hotel.(B+L+D) Day05: Shigatse/ Lhatse / New Tinggri (Shegar)/ Rongbuk Monastery Early morning start driving to Rongbuk via Shegar. The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage ( 30rmb/per person). Overynight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse.(dorm beds). Note: The meal, accommodation and road are not good, only 4WD vehicle available Day06: Mt. Everest Base Camp / Rongbuk / Shigatse Drive to Mt. Everest Nature Reserve from Xiegeer Town, visit the Rongbuk Monastery located at the north face of Mt. Everest, and at an elevation of 5100m. it is the highest monastery in the world, only 20kms to the summit. See the spectacular view of Mt. Everest, visit the Base Camp, then drive back to Shigates,overnight in Shigates. Day 7: Shigatse-Lhasa. Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery , which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama . Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Overnight at Lhasa Day 8: Lhasa-Chengdu Transferred to the airport and fly back to Chengdu.
