Inner Mongolia is lying on China's northernmost tip boarding Russia for 4200 KM,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is largely inhabited by the Mongolians, with grasslands, deserts, forests, and the Yellow River. Its long history and unique culture provide a rich resource for local tourism industry which boasts pastureland,national folklore,horse and camel riding,adventures on foot and etc.
Day 1: Chengdu-Hohhot
Meet at Chengdu Airport,fly to Hohhot,be picked up by local guide and transferred to Dazhao Monastery,which is one of the biggest and best-preserved monasteries in Hohhot.Visit Zhaojun Tomb, six miles to the south of Hohhot, is located on one of the most beautiful scenes of ancient times.
Overnight in Hohhot.
Day 2: Hohhot-Xilamuren Grassland
After breakfast,drive to Xilamuren Grassland,appreciate view of Yinshan mountains on the way.After your arrival,you may try different activities such as Mongolian wrestling, horse & camel riding,visiting traditional families and enjoying the graceful Mongolian singing and dancing.
Overnight in yurts.
Day 3: Xilamuren Grassland-Hohhot-Ordos
Enjoy sunrise in Xilamuren Grassland,visit Resonant Sand Bay,enjoy yourself in the desert (cable car and entertainments at your own expenses).After that,drive to Ordos.
Overnight in Ordos.
Day 4: Ordos-Hohhot
After breakfast,visit Tomb of Genghis Khan(1162-1227), a leader of the Mongol tribe, as well as a stragetist and a statesman..Back to Hohhot after that.
Overnight in Hohhot.
Day 5: Hohhot-Chengdu
Visit the dairy products factory and folk craftwork factory,take the flight back to Chengdu in the afternoon,end tour.
